Rachel Mahon - Patronal Festival Organ Recital

For our Annual Patronal Festival Organ Recital, we welcome Rachel Mahon, recitalist and Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral in England.

Rachel Mahon is a Canadian organist, who began her career in the UK as the first female organ scholar appointed at St Paul’s Cathedral, London.

We are excited to welcome Rachel to Australia, for a brilliant and inspiring program. As a champion of Canadian music, Rachel’s program includes the 1st Symphony of fellow Canadian Rachel Laurin, as well as the magnificent Introduction, Passacaglia & Fugue by Healey Willan - widely regarded as a masterwork of the organ repertoire.

As at all our recitals, a large screen enables you to enjoy seeing the skill and artistry of the organic up close.

As an audience member, you have the opportunity to meet Rachel after the concert, and to enjoy a glass of bubbles or cup of tea and cake, provided by the Music Foundation - just RSVP after purchasing your tickets!
